I can tell you the bequeathed good news: Jesus Christ IS ALIVE.
Although he died for the sins and was buried - even before the onset of the Eastern Sabbath –, the Father – following the Sabbath – has resurrected Him by pre-dawn hours the day after "having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it." (Acts 2:24).
After the resurrection, He appeared to the disciples in flesh on several occasions. These appearances were of great significance. First of all, He showed his disciples the supernatural reality and power of the kingdom of God, as well as He ordered them witnesses to testify His resurrection so that future generations could rely on their testimony. The most important element of the task of the chosen Apostolate was this testimony, which is bequeathed further by the Gospels, Acts 1 and 1 Corinthians 15.
If Christ has not resurrected, faith is senseless, because if we say that there is no resurrection, we deny the foundation stone of our faith, on which the whole faith (itself) is based, namely that Christ has resurrected. According to Acts 26:23, Christ is the first in resurrection.
Matthew 27:52 also reports that after the resurrection of Jesus, tombs were opened, and many bodies of the deceased saints were risen, who came out of the tombs, entered the holy city and appeared to many.
We can read about the order of the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15:23-24: Christ the firstfruits ; then those who are Christ's at his coming. Then in the end, when he will deliver up the kingdom to God, to the Father.
Jesus says, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." (John 11:25-26)
Eternal life is dependent not on the belief in the resurrection generally, is dependent not on any knowledge but is dependent on the faith in Jesus Christ. On the faith in that He is the Saviour - who resurrected and now is alive.
